Poetry

My brain sends signals to my mouth,
And causes me to speak and shout,
But my heart can only speak in rhyme,
Often in conflict with my mind,

Sometimes I’m speechless and stay quiet,
But my pen continues to write,
When it seems I’ve given up on life,
My poetry continues the fight,

My brain can cause me to stutter and stammer,
But my heart speaks with perfect gramma,
My toungue may seem unforgiving,
But my heart beats to a merciful rhythm,

You can write an entire book back to back,
Filled with many figures, stories and facts,
But you can evoke emotions so strong,
Using a single line of poetry or song.
